Introduction: Unchaste Bag-Table DIY

I kind of started to find joy in construction clobber and since I found that red suitcase in a second-hand shop for really not much money, I decided to do a wee up cycling project, and then there it goes: my self-built bag prorogue. I might add, that I harbor't been doing indeed many construction-project until no, so it's really easy to build and if I can do it, so backside you.The advantage of this project is that it's quite a sleazy, I dog-tired maybe 20€ on it, and I think information technology's pretty cool to reuse stuff others perform not need anymore. Furthermore, it's not only a mesa but besides a place for storing things, since I placed the screws in a mode that nonmoving get's you open the bag.

Like I said, I'm pretty new to this so in that respect is probably a hundred better or different ways to do this project just still I think I came up with a well-favoured result and maybe it motivates you to try novel stuff because the most important thing is to be questioning and having fun doing whatever you find worthy trying!

Step 1: What You Want

Suitcase (I intend this can be through with with any sympathetic of suitcase, the lone in-chief thing is that it's a hard case ace and you should besides use one with a flat opencast so that you can actually wont IT as a table.)

Screwdriver

Screws (I used 4,5x50 ones)

4x Round Bar - 50cm length with a 35mm diam (I failed to take a picture of those earlier having gotten to work so there's only a photo when they were already screwed in place but I guess you'll figure it out)

2x (Pine) Stripwood-50cm length, 20x20mm

3x (Ache) Stripwood- 32,5cm duration, 20x20mm

Black Spray Paint

Sanding newspaper (80)

Scissor grip

I might tot up, that the measures for the stripwood apply for a traveling bag with 52cm length and 35cm width - you CAN use those measurements for your own suitcase if it ist larger than mine only the would probably have to put your table legs more central and not at the edge in of the grip, so it would all still tantrum together. I just tin't guarantee for the stableness then;) Or, if you want to put your remit legs on the edges the way I did, you would just have to use slimly longer or shorter (conditional your suitcase) parallel bars, that shouldn't equal too velar I guess.

Maltreat 2: First...

First, you cut your stripwood to the sized you need it to embody (in case you didn't get the right size at the salt away) and sand it slightly, so that the spray paint will stick it amend. Next, you utilize the colorful spraying paint to all wooden pieces you have. You tail end use other paint equally well, but with the spray paint it just works so much faster. Leave the awkward pieces somewhere outside to dry.

Piece you let the paint dry, you're leaving to drill the four holes for your screws connected the bottom lateral of your traveling bag, that will hold the table legs in situ. Just turn the suitcase around and arrest to mould. Make secure that the placement of the holes matches the length of your stripwood, otherwise everything's going to be unstable and underhand in the end. In my case that would mean that I place my holes on the lengthy side 50cm apart, on the broad English however 32,5 cm apart. That substance you should have an rectangle ultimately if you imaginarily connected the holes with a pen. (I hope that explanation makes sans, sounds pretty complicated but doing it is more than easy). Make a point to find KO'd your center point on the traveling bag bottom and measure the lengths for your holes from there to get an even result.

If there is a layer of material inside of the suitcase, I commend to cut that away first, and so your screwdriver doesn't get totally tangled up in IT. When you drilled the holes, next thing to do is dress go your round bars and know them in place, one leg for all kettle of fish.

Step 3: Indorse...

Next, get your 50cm-duration stripwoods and place one underneath the two legs in the in reply and one underneath the two legs in the front. (Hardly look at the pictures for advance explanation in causa you postulate information technology). Screw them in place, one screw into each table leg. Immediately the whole thing should be bad stable already but to add to that, we'll now get the three pieces of 32,5cm-length stripwood and make out them in place. They are supposed to connect the back-part and the front-part to each separate, I placed one into the center and the other two 14cm socialistic and right to the centrist pick. That way, the weight of the suitcase is divided up onto a large surface.

Whole step 4: Third...

That's already IT. If you like, you can add a fabric inside of the suitcase to hide the screws but that's none essential naturally. Otherwise completely I have to say is have got fun rebuilding and I desire you likable this instructable. If that's the case, I would really apprise a vote in the „Tables and Desks Contend"- thanks in advance everyone and happy building!
